Last night marked the official opening of our brand spanking new restaurant. We invited our friends to come and celebrate with us.
Our friends and colleagues were very generous as they ‘oohed’ and ‘ahhed’ at what we have done to the place and the garden.
The sunny evening was the hottest of the year so far and it was grand to see the restaurant buzzing and everyone in party mode.
What was eaten: smoked salmon rugelach; watercress roulade; mini roast beef on yorkshire; tiny Roquefort and leek tarts; micro chocolate macaroons and finally, lemon meringue cones.
What was drunk: beautifully chilled La Java Prosecco Spumante (biodynamic!)
What was heard: “So much work in canapes” said Mike torching the head of a tiny meringue cone (pictured left). “But it has been a great evening – just let’s not do it every week.”
